A PVHS staff member, last Saturday, saw several SBCS parents (or
guardians) smoking cigarettes on campus. I am sure that they are not
aware of the "no smoking" policy in our school district. Please email
all parents to let them know that smoking is prohibited. Some of the
adults seemed to be elderly, maybe grandparents.Thanks, Nancy. Butch

Congratulations to all the students who went to to SCCCS competition. You all did a great job and had a good experience. I believe that you will do more better next time!


I think that our students had fun for making the paper frogs!
The homework of this week is to write the characters of " 蛙、 跳、只、张、条、腿“ and read and memorize the "青蛙跳水”( qingwa tiaoshui)


This coming Saturday, we're going to have our quiz. Please see the attachment and help your child to prepare it.

We're going to learn the last lesson --- " Time"
Please bring colors. We will make the clock and learn how to say " What time is it" and : " It's ------ o'clock"

十五年點點滴滴

十五年來,從牽著小女的手去上幼稚班,從bpmf開始,從一筆一劃把著她的小手寫漢字開始,從第一次對媽媽說,我不要上中文課,從第一次告訴媽媽,我不要寫中文功課, 從第一次聽到她對我說,課本好難,好無聊.當有一天,她對我說,我真的不要再去上中文學校時…

這些點點滴滴,和我常常聽到家長們對我傾吐的是一樣的. 我相信堅持,毅力,溝通,和恆心是我常放在嘴邊的互勉之詞吧.

然而在這十五年間,我加入了海外中文教育的行列, 除了不斷的充實自己教學經驗與知識,並開始規劃下一個十五年中文教育,以期能更有效的配合世界潮流和大環境的需求.

如今二十一歲的她在五月份以名列前茅的成績拿到法學博士.那她的漢語水平, 中文程度呢? 她回來中文學校教過幼稚班,每次去中國大陸,她會用自己的語言去討價還價.閒來拿本中文書看看, 或是在電視機前和媽媽一起看著中文連續劇.

原來從小女的身上我體會到堅持與恆心的真諦.在海外學習漢語,
難不難?當然難.所以提高教師的素質, 加強彼此間的溝通, 吸收更多外面的資訊等等成了重要努力的方針.

讓我們手牽手,心連心,共同創造孩子們美好的未來.

地點 Place: FDR
We don’t take credit card, please bring your checkbook.

一學年學費 One school year tuition:

First child: tuition $460, PA fee $40 (non-refundable), service deposit $100, Total $600

Second child & up: tuition $460

退學Withdraw:
第一, 二週退全費 (First/second week - Full refund of tuition)
第三, 四週退半費 (Third/fourth week - Half refund of tuition)
第四週以後不能退還任何費用 (After fourth week - No refund)
逾期註冊 Late registration:
舊生於六月五日以後註冊者，每位學生加收二十五元
$25 late fee for each returning student registering after June 5th, 2010

成人班 Adult classes :
A1 國畫 Chinese Painting (3 hours) $400
A3 太極拳 Tai Chi Chuan (1.5 hours) Donation
A4 網球 Tennis (1 hour) $220
A6 烹飪社 Culinary Arts Club $80
AM 國語會話Conversational Mandarin (2 hours) $400

成人班需有足夠人數才能開班。
